Sky High


    Kenny Walker grew up in the small Georgia town of  Roberta.  This is where he learned the love of the game.  As a freshman at Crawford County High, it was evident even at this very young age that Kenny would excel at the sport.

    1982 Proved to be a good year for Walker, as he made the McDonald's All American team. 

 

 




    Walker wooed the crowd with his amazing ability to sail through the air at such a young age.  It was perhaps here that people began to realize how special Kenny was, and how far the kid from rural Georgia would go.  But Kenny didn't keep his secret in the U.S. very long.  In 1983 he was invited to play in the world junior games.  This was a great honor for Kenny, as it was one of his first steps in taking basketball to the next level. It was a growing experience, in which Kenny learned many things, as well as taught a lesson or two...
