The Kentucky Wildcats

The Blue and White!  The stage was set for one of college's greatest players. When Kenny arrived on the scene at U.K. he was welcomed with a brigade of media.  He was just what the fans had in mind.  Quick, athletic, exciting, and man could he jump! He became a local celebrity instantly.

But all of the attention was not just hype.  You can believe Kenny would remind people of this through out his career at Kentucky.  Thus the loss of his name.  Kenny wouldn't be known as Kenny any more, all of Kentucky knew him by one name... "Sky". Kenny "Sky" Walker amazed the fans with his ability to 'poster-ize' his opponents, teaching many of them to just stay on the ground and watch with the crowd.

Kenny's legacy at U.K. still lives on today.  The bonds he shared with teammates, and the role he played at U.K. remain fresh in the minds of the Kentucky Faithful.  When it was time for Kenny to leave, he made sure he would not soon be forgotten... Kenny left Kentucky as a First Team All American, along with many  records at Kentucky.  Kenny is to this day the second all time leading scorer for U.K. with 2080 points (58 points shy of the record).  You can now see his jersey hang from the rafters of Rupp, as his number was retired in 2001.
